Loving, Creator God,

Spring reminds us that it’s never too late to start over.

That there has been grown over these long months of winter when we saw nothing. When we were called to trust there was growth happening beneath the soil.

Growth we could not see.

And now? Glory!

We celebrate the beauty of all that you’ve made. The newness, Lord, the freshness – it inspires our souls!

Tulips in the front yard, buds on the trees, the voices of birds, the cleansing of rain, the comfort of sunshine…each gift renews us, speaking of that promise within all those months of hidden growth.

Spring is awakening our physical senses, and we ask, God, that you would awaken our inner senses.

May our minds open and blossom to the yearnings you’ve placed within us…

to the steps and path that will satisfy the desires of our hearts…

to the hopes and the passions you’ve planted in every one of your children. May we seek what will truly fulfill them.

May we journey toward their Source.

May we be guided by your gentle and wise Spirit.

‘You show us the path of life, O God.  In your presence there is fullness of joy.’

As we pray for a new beginning in us we pray for a fresh start in our world. It is never too late to be what you call us to be.

May we be open to what we never expected before,

never experienced before,

never thought was possible.

It is in the love, grace, and beauty of your Beloved we pray, Amen.
